Original artwork.
Night Mind grew from my fascination with those moments in the wee small hours when the mind becomes restless and finds it hard to switch off.
Using a structured, segmented framework similar to my previous work Inner Infrastructure, I drew black ink borders to hold everything in place, then filled each section with pen doodles, colour, pattern and familiar motifs that map the fragments, associations and recurring thoughts that overlap, interrupt and continue through the night.

Medium: Pencil, pen, gel pen, paint pen marker, oil pastel, watercolour, and acrylic paint on 100% cotton acid-free hot-pressed 300gsm watercolour paper. Finished with an acid-free, matt spray.
Image Size: 38 × 55 cm Paper Size: 42 × 59.4cm (A2)
Other Details: Signed original – comes with a certificate of authenticity.
